Precautions when installing plain bearings

 

The sliding bearing is sliding friction, and its structure is simple, the volume is small, the contact surface is large, the bearing capacity is strong, the anti-vibration performance is good, but the friction coefficient is large, so it is suitable for low-speed heavy load. Rolling bearings are rolling friction. Compared with the sliding bearing, the contact surface is small (the ball bearing is point contact, the roller bearing is line contact), it is easy to be heated, it needs complete lubrication, the friction coefficient is small, the wear is small, the heat is small, the precision is good, suitable High speed operation. However, the bearing capacity is poor and the vibration resistance is poor.

Sliding bearing installation precautions:

1. Lubricating oil can be properly applied to the outer surface of the sleeve to facilitate the installation of the sleeve, but in heavy or reciprocating motion, it is not easy to avoid the sleeve.

2. The hole design is easy to deform or the wall thickness of the valve seat hole is thin. Please specify it to avoid deformation of the sleeve hole during extrusion.

3. When assembling, the mandrel should be pressed slowly (recommended hydraulic press), and the bushing should not be directly smashed to avoid deformation.

4. Before assembly, make sure that there are no foreign objects on the surface of the sleeve and seat hole. The surface of the seat hole should be as clean as possible to avoid scratching during assembly.

5. In order to make the assembly simpler without damaging the wear layer, the shaft must have a chamfer and an excessive surface. For surface hardening of bearing steels, it is recommended to use the material of the shaft.

6. If possible, apply grease to the shaft surface to shorten the operating cycle of the sleeve.
